Removing ID from URL to create SEF read more Joomla links

If you set up a native Joomla blog page recently (I did this on Joomla 3.3.6), and tried to use the read more button built in, you may have noticed something annoying. The URL shows up as the slug instead of just the alias. For example, say this page was the 56th article I've written, and the alias is "removing-id-from-url-to-create-sef-read-more-joomla-links".
I have this set up to show up on something like:
www.digitalchair.com/blog/removing-id-from-url-to-create-sef-read-more-joomla-links
Instead of that, it shows up as:
www.digitalchair.com/blog/56-removing-id-from-url-to-create-sef-read-more-joomla-links
I did not want that 56 there, did I? As far as I'm concerned, it's 3 characters against my SEO goals of having good SEF links throughout my site, and thus, it unquestionably has to go.
Removing this is actually really easy for someone who has access to the site source code, otherwise, this is much harder. You can go out and download some SEF/SEO extension off the JED that I'm sure can solve your problem, but I'm not going to go out there and test these all out for you, check out OSTraining, they do a lot of comparisons, they may have done a Joomla SEO Extension comparison for you to look at.
My solution is a simple copy paste solution. You have to add one input field into the core of your application to fix this. I HATE updating the core manually. You should avoid this whenever possible, but sometimes it's the easiest solution. The alternative is setting up a plugin to do this, but my solution is much quicker. Although, updating the core means that any time you update Joomla to the latest version, the core will be updated, and your changes - erased. This means you'll have to put this code back into your site manually. As a developer, I shudder every time I hear the word "manually".
Anyway, here's what you do, open administrator/com_content/config.xml and add the following snippet in the beginning of the fieldset named "articles" before the field named "article_layout".
I took a screenshot for you guys, just in case:
Now go to your article options, and select Yes to the new "SEF Advanced Mode" option you added at the top. I gave you guys a screenshot for this too:
Save and go refresh your page, you should be able to click your Read More button and find a fresh SEF rule adhering url :)

Comedically enough, after writing this I decided to go with a blogging extension solution that was reccomended to me, EasyBlog by StackIdeas. They handle this SEF for you, and provide you with some additional functionality, if you're interested in that sort of thing. ;)

Премахване на "nav-pills" "nav-stacked" от Purity 3 Menu Module

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of bytes exhausted - JOOMLA - T3
За новия темплейт на джумла, който използвам в сайта е необходимо да се извърши компилация от LESS към CSS, за да се случат нужните промени в стиловете.
За съжаление ми отне дълго време, да разбера на какво се дължи грешката от долната снимка;
Оказа се, че трябва да се промени memory limit-a на сървъра.
В суперхостинг това се направи през cpanel --> PHP manager, където могат да се направят и други настройки. Когато го направих на 256 МБ нещата се оправиха.
А иначе промените в темплейта преди да компилирате LESS към CSS, се правят в "/less/themes/1912/variables-custom.less"

Актириване на GZIP компресия
За успешната активация беше необходимо да създадем два php файла "gzip_start.php" и "gzip_stop", които да съдържат следния код:

Файловете в момента се намират в директория "/public_html". Също така, от наша страна сме задали следните редове във файла "/home/eldvigat/php-fcgi.ini":

Желаем да Ви обърнем внимание, че е възможно gzip компресията да не Ви се показва като активна в използваната от Вас система joomla поради начина, по който е активирана.

Смяна на окупацията - 32,5 тона злато
"Според Указ № 1144, публикуван в „Държавен вестник”от януари 1884 г. се оказва, че „братската помощ” по нашето освобождение е струвала на българския народ 10 500 000 книжни рубли и 43 копейки. По онова време реципрочната стойност на тези „книжни рубли” е точно 32.5 тона злато. Във въпросния брой на ДВ буквално четем: „Ний Александър I с Божията милост и народна воля, княз на българите, провъзгласяваме: Народното събрание прие, Ний утвърдяваме следующата КОНВЕНЦИЯ за изплащане от България на Русия разноските по окупацията на Княжеството от Руските Импер/аторски/ Войски, съгласно определението на Берлинский договор”. Т.е. 32.5 тона злато.
Обърнете внимание на думата „окупация”, драги читателю! Излиза, че ний, българите сме платили за окупацията си, а не за освобождението си."

Olli Levijärvi explained how to do it in version 3, but to make it work you dont have to unzip it first, but just open the file directly from the ZIP archive and than update it.

When Ozio Gallery is used within Joomla pages, the component displays a footer

If you search the source, you will not find the text as it is encoded (with base 64) within
“\administrator\components\com_oziogallery2\css\ozio.css”
1. Use http://ostermiller.org/calc/encode.html to decode the encoding in the css file.
2. Then remove the text that is not wanted and encode again.
3. Then paste it back to the css file, replacing the original text.
Note: For OzioGallery3, the folder structure seems to have changed. The ozio.css file for OzioGallery3 is located within the folder "administrator\components\com_oziogallery3\assets\css".

Afterburner 2 (Gantry) Copyright (and any other change)
When you need to change anything in the template, when using Gantry framework...It is very important to remember one thing:
ALWAYS DO THE CHANGES BY THE INTEGRATED EDITOR
administrator/index.php?option=com_templates&view=template&id=YOUR_TEMPLATE_ID
I am not sure why...it is something regarding chaching and so on, but editors like Notepad++ just didnot work for me.
Even when I do a change, it does not appear.
